FLAX SEEDS - HOW CAN THEY HELP BALANCING WOMEN'S HORMONES? + FLAX SEED PANCAKES RECIPE

Flax seeds are the richest sources of lignans among plants - the natural phytoestrogens. Why not to try flax seeds pancakes recipe as well?



I am fascinated by the amazing ingredients in the plants, phytonutrients present in the plants play very big role after vitamins and minerals.


Flax seeds have many different usage, I got interested in it when I implemented ‚seed cycling’ into my diet, the aim of it was to regulate my period and flax seeds were the part of protocol. It got so regulated that I had no problem with getting pregnant

Why flax seeds can help with regulating our hormones?


Plants can be a natural source of estrogen, I mentioned in my previous posts about pomegranate and carrots being an amazing plants for women because of their natural estrogen.


Flax seed is another great one - it is a source of lignans - polyphenols which are converted by gut bacterias into enterolignans which might have weak estrogenic activity. Because of this feature they are classified as phytoestrogens.


Flax seeds are the richest source of plant lignans.


Phytoestrogens can bind to estrogen receptors in our bodies, however their estrogenic activity is much weaker than our natural estrogen, so they can do two different actions: they can actually block or antagonize the effects of estrogen in some tissues helping to balance estrogen level in our bodies.


Who can benefit from adding flax seeds into the diet:

- Women with irregular periods, PCOS

- Women with PMS

- Women in menopause or post menopause period when the estrogen level declines


It is worth implementing flax seeds on daily basis.

Flax seeds pancakes 50g grounded flax seeds 15g grounded pumpkin seeds 2 eggs 1 spoon of coconut oil ½ teaspoon baking soda 2 spoon of water Mix all together and fry
